Let’s start with your name and what you do.

I’m Audrey, a software engineer at Evidation. I help build and support our brilliant study platform.

Tell us about home.

I’m part Californian/part Tennessean, which I take as an excuse to drink wine with my BBQ.

How’d you end up here?

I had been working in the healthcare world as a non-profit administrator when I decided to pursue software engineering. When I heard about what Evidation was doing to use health data in a useful, insightful, and productive way that ends up helping individuals improve their lives, I was sold. I’m now in the best of both worlds – using my engineering skills (and having fun doing it) while contributing to bringing some valuable knowledge into the healthcare field.

Can you share your novel way to read books?

Sometimes I look through used book stores/garage sales/Goodwill for copies of novels that are annotated by their last owners. It’s like a treasure hunt: difficult to find a good one, but when I do it’s twice the reward (a book to read + the benefit/entertainment of a stranger’s commentary). My favorite so far has been a copy of Good Omens, by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

What’s been your best day (so far) at Evidation?

It’s satisfying every time a study is launched, because that means I’ve done my part to enable the discovery of some new, nuanced area of healthcare research.

Favorite board game?

Pandemic.

What’s your preferred approach to earning points on Achievement?

Research and studies!

First trip to mars with humans on board. passenger or onlooker?

Passenger.

Have you ever experienced a paranormal event?

No.

How would you describe your vertical leap?

No idea. 8 inches? I’ll say 8.
