Let’s start with your name and what you do at Evidation, please.

I’m Meagan and I’m a Senior Associate on the Participant Engagement team. I work as an advocate for our study participants throughout study design and implementation to help curate a smooth participant experience based on clinical research study protocols and Good Clinical Practice. I also communicate directly with our participants on a regular basis, assisting them throughout all phases of our studies and sharing their feedback with other team members to help improve their experience with us.

Where’s home? Where’d you grow up?

I’m from Laredo, Texas right on the border of Mexico. I still refer to myself as a Texan even though I lived in San Francisco for more than 10 years! I’ve just moved up north to a ranch in Petaluma and while I very much miss the city I am soaking up the country life.

How’d you end up at Evidation?

I’ve always worked and loved working in direct patient care and research. After living in the Bay Area for a number of years I discovered the digital health space which led me to Evidation. My role challenges me to curate a pleasant, individualized online experience for our study participants in remote studies, and also allows me to continue working closely with individuals to provide them support! The role was a perfect fit for my interests!

Do you have any fun (ok, weird) hobbies?

I LOVE rock climbing (indoors and outdoors). There’s nothing better than being outside pushing your physical and mental limits in good company. I’m also a big Afrobeats and Dancehall music and dancing fan and can’t wait for more in-person classes to start up again. My other hobbies include volunteering and pursuing a non-profit project I started with a friend, when time permits.

What’s been your best day (so far) at Evidation?

Collaborating with colleagues at an internal research offsite. The group is really mission driven and it was exciting to hear about everyone’s passions and skill sets.
